First Grade

FIRST GRADE HIGHLIGHTS

First graders have an exciting year learning the fundamentals of reading!  Each student will have the opportunity to participate in Book-A-Night.  In addition to reading, 1st grade concentrates efforts on single digit addition and subtraction.  During the school year, the students enjoy special units and field trips, including a butterfly unit studying their life cycle.
